Sensitivity and Sensuality

By: Eliza Bourner

A dichotomy of sensitivity and sensuality, this series creates a dialogue between innocence and sexuality rather than being two isolated themes; embracing the fact that women can have both. Flowers add an innocence to the exposed body, directly confronting the notion that female exposure is shameful and questioning whether female bodies are always sexual when naked. ‘PETAL’ challenges the delicateness synonymous with womanhood and the gender stereotypes that need breaking for true empowerment of the female form.
