‘Lyra’ tells the story of a young woman with Borderline Personality Disorder and focuses on the isolation and destruction of living with a diagnosis that is deeply misunderstood by those around her. Funded by the Lets Smile charity of SLaM, almost half of all cast and crew involved in the making of the short film have a mental health diagnosis themselves. Anna McGrane @a_mcgrane the writer and director of Lyra, hopes to see a change in the way people are diagnosed and supported, particularly the root causes and abolishing of the term ‘personality disorder’.
