The Gurls Talk Ambassador Program

The Gurls Talk Ambassador Program gives young activists and emerging leaders the opportunity to participate in the organization’s decision-making, while developing advocacy skills and connecting with like-minded peers. The yearlong program is designed to spotlight gxrls and young womxn aged 18-22* who are passionate about our mission by amplifying their voices and giving them a seat at the table. As a community-led organization, the program aims to ensure that all programming and activities continue to be led by those community members who are most affected by our work.

 

 

Ambassadors will

  • • Advise on programming, events and new initiatives
  • • Attend, plan and participate in Gurls Talk events in the United States
  • • Participate in monthly strategy calls with Gurls Talk team members
  • • Attend Zoom mentorship meetings with Founder Adwoa Aboah every 2 months
  • • Participate in an annual retreat with fellow ambassadors (Covid restrictions permitting)
  • • Gain access to a network of friends, partners and mentors of GT
