GURLS TALK X MADE TO PLAY FUND– Frequent Asked Questions

Today’s generation is the least active in history—physical inactivity is shortening lives and short-changing futures. 3 in 4 kids globally don’t get the physical activity they need, and girls are less active than boys. As part of the Gurls Talk partnership, Nike is launching the Gurls Talk x Made to Play Fund, with grants supporting inspirational young women who are inspiring the next generation of girls to be active.

Key dates:

31st January 2019 – Applications close

25th February 2019 – Announcement of selected grantees by Women Win

  1. Who can apply for the Made To Play Fund?

The Made to Play Fund is committed to fill the gap in funding to projects designed and led by young women, 16- 25, who’ve had their lives transformed for better through sport and that now, as aspiring coaches/mentors/volunteers, have the ambition to share their passion for sport, physical activity and play with young girls under 14.

If your organisation does not have the space, try to ask a local school/sports club to use their space for free.
