The Fallacy of Composition
By Syrienna

"What is true of the parts is not true of the whole"
Life whispers through song, sung to console,
My melancholic inevitabilities but blindness too.
I finish dancing with Lust and think it's Love's cue.
The sun may hide, but it cannot run,
Though an hour is grey, the day can be won.
A speaker may stutter, but their speech still inspire,
For not every road's bump bursts the whole tyre.
The tale of ancestors run through our veins
But you and I are more than DNA,
Rather a foundation from which blocks may be built,
Although...
A brick feels light, but to a house it's the stilt.
Wisdom confesses that life is a game,
Wherever one looks, we hold the blame.
Reason trumps emotion, that should be our goal,
Because what is true of the parts, is not true of the whole.
