This pic is from when I opened for Angel Olsen’s sold out show at Brooklyn Steel in November.

During my first song the fire alarm went off (for the first time ever at the venue), but it wasn’t obvious at first because I start my set singing over a drone. I could hear a faint beeping but kept singing over the fire alarm, to a very confused audience. Then it became loud and unbearable, and the house lights came on. Everyone had to be evacuated. We all stood outside surrounded by fire-trucks and cop cars for 30 minutes as the crowd grew from new people showing up for Angel Olsen’s set. Fortunately it was a false alarm and no one was hurt… and luckily for me I still got to do my full set when we all went back inside to a full room!
